How to play

1. Select a grid size

Use the arrows at the bottom right of the grid outline OR use the All Sizes option at the bottom of the screen

There are 64 different grid sizes from 2x2 up to 9x9 and every combination in between.
The number of different sizes available on your device depends on the size of the screen.

2. Choose a puzzle of this size

Use the arrows at the top of the grid outline OR use the Size option at the bottom of the screen

You can also select the operators you want by using the operator panel at the bottom centre of the grid outline

There are 125 puzzles of each size, except for 2x2 grids which have 100, and 5x5 grids which have 150 - a total of 8000 puzzles!

3. Drag numbers into the grid

Drag numbers from the bottom coloured panels into the grid column of the same colour

You can also drag numbers within the grid or out of the grid

To solve a puzzle you must drag numbers to the correct cells in the grid to solve ALL the equations

Please note that some puzzles have multiple solutions and the app will accept any of them.

All your moves are automatically saved

You can change to another grid size or puzzle at any time without affecting the current puzzle

The easiest way to get back to a previous puzzle that you haven't finished is to tap on the WIP icon at the bottom of the screen. This will list all unfinished puzzles, and you can select the one you want to work on. If there is no WIP icon then there are no unfinished puzzles.

A few of the 8000 puzzles - can you solve them?

A few things to consider!

Operator precedence - do you remember the rules?

What is operator precedence?

When a row or column result is green it means the equation works
BUT
It doesn't necessarily mean that you have the correct numbers in that row or column to solve the puzzle

If you are sure you have the correct number in a grid cell, double tap it to lock it in place. You won't be able to move or replace that number until you double tap it again to unlock it.

That's not all!
Some puzzles are even harder!

Some puzzles for each size and operator combination
DON'T SHOW YOU
which columns the numbers go in.
You need to work that out too.
